Prospect Park West Apartment
The clients purchased a first floor apartment across the street from Prospect Park with lots of windows but with a strangely dark interior. We worked with budget-friendly fixes to bring light into the space. A new palette of pale blue and gray and new white moldings and pickling stain on the floors replaced the mustard walls and dark-stained oak woodwork. Wood slat blinds were replaces with light-diffusing cellular shades. A white marble countertop and blue pendant lights turned the island into a gathering spot. The most transformative move was the installation of a reclaimed marble mantel that provided a serene focal point to the main living space.
